At this time there were no active apothecia observed at my Monilinia Blight observation sites from Waterville to Aylesford. I will re check after the weekend rain.......on Monday.
Warm temperatures are forecast for next week so development may change quickly.
Current bud development taken April 23rd:
Early varieties (Duke) - 13% F2 stage
Mid-season Varieties (Draper, Bluegold)- Bud swell -bud scale separation
Late Varieties (Burlington, Liberty) - Bud Swell- bud scale separation
Spray timings for Monilinia Blight should target 40% of buds at F2 stage with active apothecia to give fungicide coverage through periods of free moisture.
