I have to eat some crow here. Last
night I was predicting that that the apothecia would have dried up and risk of
Monilinia Blight was over BUT that is not the case.
I was hopeful given the beautiful day yesterday that the apothecia at the
monitoring sites from Waterville to Aylesford would have matured and dried up
but they are still very active.
Rain events like this mornings and forecasted rain represent significant
chances for infection and growers should continue to apply a fungicide if they
have not in the last 7 days.
